Privacy Policy

Last updated: 11 June 2026

HomeBrain ("the app") is built to be a private memory for your home. This policy explains what data the app handles and how. In short: your home data stays on your device, remote AI is optional and opt-in, and we do not track you or sell data.

Who we are

HomeBrain is developed by Oleg Ptukh. For any question about this policy or your data, contact oleg.ptuh@gmail.com.

Data stored on your device

The records you create — items, rooms, tasks, notes, reminders, warranties, and the files in your Vault (manuals, receipts, photos, PDFs) — are stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData. They are not uploaded to our servers. If you enable Apple iCloud backup for your device, your data may be included in that backup under Apple's terms; we have no access to it.

Optional AI features

Some Pro features (such as smart capture from photos and PDFs, draft review of notes, and Ask AI) can use a remote AI model. These features are opt-in: they run only when you turn them on and actively use them.

What we do not do

Purchases

HomeBrain Pro is sold through Apple's In-App Purchase. Payment and subscription management are handled by Apple; we do not receive your payment card details. Apple shares limited transaction information needed to validate your subscription.

Your choices and rights

Children

HomeBrain is not directed at children and is intended for general audiences managing their own household.

Changes

We may update this policy as the app evolves. Material changes will be reflected on this page with a new "last updated" date.
